Job Description:
Installed 2 x 100mm conduits down Mallet Street and along Parramatta Road. 2 x 48 core, singlemode Fibre cable installed between three major nodes within the campus. This route completed an important redundant pathway for I.C.T. Fusion splice connections completed. This project presented significant logistical constraints, particularly when dealing with R.T.A. Clearways and local businesses

Utilizing trenchless technology (underboring) to reduce Council costs, 3 x 50mm communication conduits were installed to link 4 Campus sites.

- Project: Department of Education and Training funded cabling refurbishment of Turramurra Public School

Job Description:
The I.T. department of D.E.T had been having ongoing connectivity problems at Turramurra Public School due mainly to the fact that the Primary and Infants schools were separate from each other. Line of Sight wireless was proving ineffective so Elam was commissioned to install a fibre link between the sites. As part of the project
Elam also installed new cabinets and Molex cat6 cabling throughout the School

Job Description:
Due to the rapid increase in student numbers, 2 x new demountable classrooms were provided by Department of Education and Training.
Elam trenched in underground conduits and cabled the new classrooms for power and Data in time for Term 1, Day 1.

Project: Taronga Zoo
Elam has been a Corporate Sponsor of the Zoo since 2000. The last financial year alone, Elam Sponsored the Zoo for the amount of $15,000.

Job Description:
Taronga Zoo presents unique challenges when it comes to providing cabling infrastructure. The Zoo is constantly evolving and Elam is heavily involved at the design stage and well as installation. Voice and Fibre cabling backbone links have been upgraded in many areas where new exhibits have opened. The Zoo now boasts full redundancy on data links and uses Singlemode Fibre to run Gigabit Ethernet over extended distances.
