Schneider Electrics Switchboard Installations
One of our popular products is the Schneider Electrics Switchboard. These can be used when upgrading from an outdated old board (John Morris Case study) that does not meet safety standards or can be installed for new projects.
Many old switchboards do not have the required safety switches to meet Australian Standards. They can be mislabelled and confusing. Electricity is not something to be lax about, and if something were to go wrong with an old switchboard, it can easily go from zero to 1000 in severity!
If you are concerned about the safety of your switchboard, Elam can complete a Thermal Imaging assessment and report to show if there are any dangerous hot spots!
We have experience with the sensitive nature of upgrading an existing switchboard. We understand that your business can’t be put on hold while power is rearranged within your building. Our techniques of prewiring cabling and setting up the cutover before taking the old switchboard down will ensure it will seem like any old work day! We can organise a new position for the switchboard if necessary and re-cable submains and sub-circuits in preparation for 1 big weekend cutover onto the new system.
The Schneider Electrics Switchboard is a fantastic product that suits a wide range of installations. Holding 48 different circuits, this industrial type IP42 switchboard has an allowance of up to 40 safety switches! It also features an emergency lighting control system with test switch included. The dimensions are 1 metre in height, 58cm wide and 20cm deep.
The switchboard body is made from machine folded quality sheet steel at 1.6mm thick and the door is an easy to use hinge lift off type, with a card holder for all your circuit records to be kept.
If you are interested in upgrading your old switchboard or you are working on a new project, call Elam today to see if the Schneider Electrics Switchboard would be a good fit for you.
