Description
The 6000c Mini-OTDR is designed to provide its users with the fastest tool available for installing and commissioning multiple fibre links and locating faults for fibre maintenance.
Features
High dynamic range - 45dB.
Fibre Break Locator to quickly find breaks and bends.
Locate and characterize splice and connector losses.
Multi-fibre testing for fast high-count cable qualification.
Power and loss measurement with the built-in light source and the power meter module.
Graphical representation of measurement results in event tables, showing loss and reflection, and pass/fail results.
Visual Fault Finder to check patch cords for light leakage.
If you are installing new switches we can check your existing Fibre to make sure it will suit the new switches with both connector and Data speed.
Electrical Testing and Tagging
Electricity Can Kill
Help prevent injury and meet your OH&S requirements by having all your electrical appliances Tested and Tagged in accordance with Australian Standard AS 3760: 2003
The process is simple and we come to you.
Specialised electrical appliance testing equipment will conduct the following tests:
Earth continuity - tests that your appliance is properly connected to Earth.
Insulation resistance - tests that no current is flowing where it shouldn't be.
Leakage test - with the appliance powered on, tests that there is no current flowing where it shouldn't be.
Polarity test - Checks that extension cords and power boards are wired correctly.
RCD Trip time test - Tests that an RCD ('Safety Switch') will switch off fast enough to prevent injury in the case of a fault developing.
RCD current ramp test - tests that your RCD is sensitive enough to the tiny currents.
Power testing - checks how much power appliances require – Using too much power on an electrical circuit is dangerous.
Electrical supply testing - checks that the power point to which equipment is connected is wired correctly.
All Category Testing
Elam will provide you with hard and/or soft copies of all test results.
Data Testing
Cat 5, Cat 5E and Cat 6 testing is carried out using the latest Level 3 tester; the Framescope 350 from Agilent Technologies. The Framescope incorporates emerging network and cabling standards through regular software upgrades. We are able to supply you with detailed test reports on your cabling.
Fibre Testing A 600c Agilent OTDR is used to accurately measure your installed Fibre Optic cabling performance. The results are shown graphically, making interpretation a breeze for clients.
Third Party Testing Has someone else installed your cabling? Elam provides "Third - Party" testing. We will test cables that have been installed by others and will provide you with hard and/or soft copies of the results.
Fault Finding and Repairs Both the OTDR and Framescope offer real time functionality so that dropouts and slow response times can be pinpointed quickly. Failures in either your copper or Fibre cables can be quickly resolved to ensure you get back "up to speed" in no time.
